POPEGO: The Architecture of Being
A Photo Series by Robin Phalatse.
POPEGO is a Setswana term for form or structure. In this visual exploration, it represents the intersection of ancestral divinity and futuristic engineering. This series toys with the boundary between the biological and the built environment, proposing a future where the African body is the ultimate site of technological innovation. Through a minimalist palette of deep obsidian skin, Viridian light and golden geometry. POPEGO strips away the noise of the present to reveal the "Blueprint of The Soul." The cuts in the subjects' forms are not fractures, but revelations showing that beneath the skin lies an intricate, sacred architecture that has existed for millennia. This series is a digital excavation. It asks: If our ancestors were the original architects of the earth, what will they build when the inhibit the stars?
